There are certain support animals on our farm who provide a service and are permanent members of the farm’s staff.
Staff members remain on the farm until they can no longer perform their duties,
then they are provided a happy, relaxed retirement either here or in a new home better suited for them at that time, whatever is best for them.
Zeus
Zeus is our beloved livestock guardian dog. He’s a Great Pyrenees who is gentle with his human charges and loves hanging out with the resident animals. He protects the farm from predators through deterrence and, if necessary, confrontation. He takes his job seriously, and loves a good romp through the pasture.
