Wendell has the distinction of being the first baby goat born on Brigid’s Bounty Farm. He came into this world a singleton, which is unusual for his momma, Ellie. He made his appearance the very hour a dear friend of the farm was transitioning after an exhausting battle with acute myeloid leukemia. With the widow’s permission, Wendell took her husband’s name. He is now a permanent member of the herd, and we hope to have him with us for many, many years to come.
Chrissy is a Nigerian Dwarf who came to the farm with Ellie. She is a classy lady, doesn’t get too excited, and is an excellent aunt to Wendell.
Weasley is a handsome Nigerian Dwarf, Pygmy cross. While still young himself, he is our resident buck, as Wendell is still just a baby.
Onyx is our resident escape artist. She is a Nigerian Dwarf, our youngest doe, and says “Fences? We don’t need no stinkin’ fences!” while helping herself out of the goat pen and around the rest of the farm. She follows us around as we do our daily work and without qualms, she’ll come into the house to inspect the groceries we are unloading from the car to see if there is anything tasty for her.
